College Track respects the privacy of its online visitors. We do not collect personally identifiable information (name, address, phone number, email, etc.) from individuals without their knowledge. Visitors may use our site freely without identifying themselves.


Use of Information We Collect

College Track collects personal information on our website for specific reasons. Examples of these include volunteer applications, job applications, newsletter distribution, and other e-mail alerts. The personally identifiable information (name, address, phone number, e-mail, etc.) collected for these services is only used for the purpose for which the information was provided. For example, if a visitor fills out a job application, that visitor will not receive other information irrelevant to jobs at College Track, unless the visitor specifically elects to receive such information.

College Track also collects personal information from offline sources such as printed student and volunteer applications, event registrations, donations, etc. Personal information collected in this way will also not be used for anything other than its intended purpose, unless the individual elects to receive other information by indicating that choice on the printed form.

 

We Do Not Sell or Otherwise Distribute Information We Collect

College Track does not disclose personal information to any third parties unless required to do so by law. We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share mailing lists or database information.


Cookies and Other Technical Information We Gather

The College Track website uses “cookies.” When cookies are used, they do not collect personally identifiable information from visitors to our website.

College Track does have access to certain technical information specific to the computers of our website visitors. This information is collected in general log files and cannot be traced back to specific users. Examples of the information we collect in this manner include a visitor’s internet protocol (IP) address, the type and version of web browser used, the type of computer operating system used, and the website from which the visitor was referred to our site. This information is used to determine the number of unique users who visit the College Track website and to ensure the site is accessible to the greatest number of visitors.

Use of Web-Based Service Providers and Credit Card Security

CREDIT CARDS
Credit card donation transactions on the College Track website are provided by Network for Good. They collect information on behalf of College Track, but they do not disclose it to any party other than College Track. Network for Good uses industry-accepted encryption for transmission of credit card information, which keeps visitor information secure, accurate, current, and complete. These transactions are governed by Network for Good privacy policy.

NEWSLETTER AND OTHER MAILING LISTS
Electronic distribution of the College Track newsletter and other e-mail notices are provided by College Track.
